Drought Tools for Ranchers
The National Drought Mitigation Center, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Risk Management Agency, and the Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition teamed up on August 10, 2009, in Kearney, NE, to sponsor a workshop on new drought-related tools:
- the Vegetation Drought Response Index (VegDRI)
- the Vegetation Outlook (VegOut)
- the Drought Planning Guide for Livestock and Forage Producers
