Monitoring, Assessment and Prediction Working Group

The goal of the Working Group is to develop a drought monitoring system that provides timely recognition of the occurrence of drought to local, state, tribal, and federal officials responsible for implementing drought response measures. Read more about the MAP group in the '97-98 work plan.
