USDA Midwest Climate Hub Meeting

In light of the serious droughts that have affected the Midwest region over the last few years, the USDA Midwest Climate Hub, USDA Office of the Chief Economist, and the National Drought Mitigation Center have organized a training workshop that will be held at the ISU Extension and Outreach facility in Altoona, IA.
Workshop components:
- technical training on and applications of the U.S. Drought Monitor, including its use by USDA programs
- seasonal weather forecasting tools and processes
- USDA agency and local manager perspectives on the current drought.
Who should attend:
- USDA program field staff
- Extension personnel
- state, county, and local management officials.
Advance registration is required (no fee). Lunch will be provided.
