Technical Workshop on Drought and Seasonal Forecasting Tools

December 6, 2017


This training is designed for state and federal agency officials, university researchers, and others who already possess a working knowledge regarding drought and forecasting applications in Texas. The training will include expert presentations on the topics of monitoring, forecasting, and impact reporting, as well as discussions and Q&A regarding the most valuable tools and resources available for management and education.


  • Drought monitoring and impact reporting

TACC's Main Office is located in the Advanced Computing Building (ACB) on the J.J. Pickle Research Campus (PRC) at the University of Texas at Austin.

There is an exit for the Burnet Road on Highway 183,and there is an exit for Braker Lane on Loop 1.

Note: All visitors must now enter the PRC via the Burnet Road entrance (1 block south of Braker Lane). For more information see:


Parking available in the lots south and east of the ACB building (see map). Park in covered visitor parking area if available.

All vehicles must have parking permit displayed. Parking permits will be available at check-in so you will not need to purchase one from the kiosk.
