Mark Svoboda and Brian Fuchs, NDMC climatologists and U.S. Drought Monitor authors, helped present a Drought Training Workshop for Caribbean countries in Kingston, Jamaica, May 22-24, 2012. Adrian Trotman of the Caribbean Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology organized the workshop.
The 20 climatologists, meteorologists, hydrologists, water suppliers, resource managers and drought planners from Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica and St. Lucia focused on monitoring, impact reporting and planning.
