Rachel joined the NDMC in August 2024 as a graduate research assistant studying human dimensions of drought and flood management. She graduated from UNL in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and environmental sciences communication, as well as a bachelor’s in integrated science with a minor in international agriculture and natural resources. Before returning for her master’s, she worked as a communications specialist at the Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute helping with the development and promotion of water policy research.
