Ethiopia Workshop 2015

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

NASA, the National Drought Mitigation Center, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA), the National Meteorological Agency (NMA) of Ethiopia, the Ethiopian Meteorological Society (EtMS), and Addis Ababa University (AAU), organized a workshop on July 28-29, 2015, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The workshop brought nearly 80 participants together from a variety of agencies and institutions in the Great Horn of Africa. The various type of agencies included: Meteorological Agencies, Agricultural Research Stations, Universities, United Nations Organizations, NGOs focused on Food Security and Poverty, Embassies, Land and Water Management Center, River Basin Authorities, and Energy. A total of 7 countries were represented.
